1. What we collect
Your account details (name, email, password hash), the content you create (stories, applications, SOQ drafts, Coach conversations), and — if analytics are enabled — anonymous product-usage events. We don't buy data about you or track you across other sites.
2. How your content is used
Your stories and drafts exist to power your own drafting. Excerpts are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic for drafting, OpenAI for search embeddings) solely to generate your drafts and search results; per those providers' API terms, API data is not used to train their models. We never sell your data or share it with employers.
3. Public information only
The Coach's knowledge base is built exclusively from publicly available sources (CalHR and CalCareers guidance), and posting extraction reads only public job-posting pages you point us at.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored with our cloud database provider (Neon, PostgreSQL) with encryption in transit. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
5. Deletion
Deleting your account from Settings permanently removes your stories, applications, drafts, and Coach history from our database. This is immediate and irreversible.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and, when analytics are enabled, a first-party analytics cookie to understand product usage. No advertising cookies.
